On November 27, 2024, students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science organized an awareness camp in adopted villages to promote the use of generic medicines available at the Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra established on the JVWU campus.
During the camp, villagers were informed about the affordability and efficacy of generic medicines, aiming to reduce their dependence on expensive alternatives. The students also highlighted the various health benefits offered by the university hospital, encouraging villagers to take advantage of free health checkups and free blood investigations provided by the institution.
The initiative received a positive response, with villagers expressing gratitude for the valuable information and accessible healthcare services. This outreach effort reflects the university's dedication to improving public health and raising awareness in rural communities under its community development programs.
