Nine-Day Navratri Mahotsav Celebrated at Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women's University, Jaipur with Mata Ka Jagrata and Kanya Poojan
October 11, 2024: Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University (JVWU) celebrated the grand Navratri Mahotsav with great enthusiasm and devotion, concluding the nine-day festivities with an all-night Mata Ka Jagrata on the auspicious night of Ashtami, October 10, 2024. The celebrations culminated with the traditional Kanya Poojan the next morning.
All Students and staff actively participated throughout the festival, creating an atmosphere of spirituality and unity. The night was filled with soulful bhajan-kirtans and vibrant cultural performances. One of the highlights of the celebration was a captivating Ramleela enactment, followed by the mesmerizing Nav Durga Nritya Natika, which depicted the divine forms of Goddess Durga through dance and drama.
The entire JVWU campus resonated with the spirit of devotion, with attendees expressing their reverence through music and prayer. The event successfully brought together the university community, fostering a sense of collective faith and cultural pride.
The Kanya Poojan ritual, performed the following morning, honored young girls as symbols of the divine feminine, marking the spiritual culmination of the Navratri celebrations. The students and faculty offered their prayers and blessings, making the event both memorable and meaningful.
This Navratri Mahotsav at JVWU not only reflected the essence of India’s rich cultural traditions but also strengthened the bond between the university community, leaving everyone with cherished memories.
