Educational Visit to Jail Enhances Practical Learning for Law and Management Students
The Faculty of Law and Management at the University successfully organized an educational visit to a local jail as part of its experiential learning initiative. The visit aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to the criminal justice system and institutional management practices within correctional facilities.
A group of enthusiastic students, accompanied by faculty members, participated in this visit. During the program, jail authorities briefed the students on prison administration, rehabilitation programs, inmate management, and legal procedures followed within the facility. Students were given insights into the functioning of the correctional system, including security protocols, inmate rights, and reformative measures.
For law students, the visit proved to be an invaluable opportunity to understand the practical application of legal concepts related to criminal law, human rights, and prison reforms. Management students, on the other hand, gained knowledge about organizational behavior, resource management, and administrative challenges in a highly regulated environment.
The interactive session with jail officials allowed students to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world practices.
Such initiatives reflect the University’s commitment to holistic education by integrating academic learning with practical exposure. The Faculty of Law and Management plans to continue organizing similar visits to enhance students’ understanding and prepare them for professional challenges ahead.
